Marla Matthews Promoted to Shareholder-Director

CONCORD, NH —Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell is pleased to announce that Marla Matthews has been promoted to a Shareholder-Director of the firm.

Attorney Matthews advises regulated industries and business clients on a variety of insurance, healthcare and energy issues. She frequently represents clients before the New Hampshire Insurance Department on a range of matters, including licensing, market conduct examinations, and holding company filings and approvals. She also appears before the Public Utilities Commission, the New Hampshire Legislature and the Department of Labor. Matthews relies on her experience as a former special education teacher in representing school districts on special education and related matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Matthews served as a law clerk to the Honorable James E. Duggan, associate justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court.

She currently serves on the board of directors of New Hampshire Jobs for America's Graduates.

Matthews is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law. She received her bachelor of science degree, magna cum laude, from Keene State College.
