Emily Goering Elected Shareholder-Director
CONCORD, NH —Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell is pleased to announce that Emily Goering has been elected a Shareholder-Director of the firm.
Emily’s practice focuses on a variety of transactional and litigation issues that concern property, land use, and development. Emily has a particular focus in the areas of planning, zoning, eminent domain, construction disputes, and property disputes. Emily provides comprehensive representation during all stages of a client’s project or dispute – from the earliest stages of project development, through local and state permitting, and throughout litigation and the appellate process.
Emily routinely represents clients before municipal boards, state agencies, and state and federal courts, and has prevailed in resolving disputes in her clients’ favor before the New Hampshire District and Superior Courts, the New Hampshire Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire, and the United States Supreme Court.
Before joining GCG, Emily worked as an Assistant Attorney General at the Office of the New Hampshire Attorney General. Emily worked within the Transportation & Construction Bureau, handling all litigation and legal counseling needs for the Department of Safety, Department of Transportation, and Division of Public Works. Emily gained her juris doctor from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Southern Maine. While in law school, Emily worked as an intern for the Environmental Bureau at the Office of the New Hampshire Attorney General, the New Hampshire Office of the United States Trustee, and in the UNH Law Consumer Protection Clinic. Emily returned to UNH Law for two semesters as an adjunct professor teaching Legal Analysis and Writing to first year law students.
Emily is admitted to practice in New Hampshire, the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire, the United States First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
