GCG Welcomes Attorney Rowan Joyce

CONCORD, NH — Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell is pleased to welcome Rowan Joyce as an Associate Attorney.  Rowan is a versatile attorney who handles transactional matters and civil litigation. She advises clients on commercial real estate transactions, drafts commercial purchase and sale agreements, performs commercial due diligence, analyzes land use issues, assists companies with ensuring good corporate governance, delves into administrative law matters, performs pre-trial and trial matters including discovery disputes, motions, appeals, and arguing before courts and administrative bodies.

Rowan received her J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law as a member of the Daniel Webster Scholar Honors program. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Saint Anselm College.

While in law school, Rowan interned with the Honorable Samantha Elliott at the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire, where she assisted with drafting judicial orders, prepared memoranda, and observed court proceedings. Further, during her law school tenure, Rowan interned with the Concord City Solicitor’s Office and the Nashua District Court. Those two experiences exposed Rowan to a variety of municipal issues, including land use, zoning, and code administration, as well as legal researching and drafting bench memoranda for probate and district court judges. Prior to law school, Rowan worked in college admissions. Rowan worked as a summer associate with Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell, and is thrilled to return full-time.

In addition to her internships, during law school, Rowan completed the rigorous Daniel Webster Scholar Honors program, a two-year intensive honors program with hands-on, practical, skills-based learning, which, upon successful completion results in admission to the New Hampshire bar. Rowan was chosen by the Legal Writing Department to be a first-year Legal Writing Teaching Assistant, and she served as Treasurer of UNH Law’s Civic Engagement Society, volunteering with fellow students in downtown Concord to serve and engage with the community.

Rowan is admitted in New Hampshire and the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire.
